In the midst of GRAMMY Week, the Recording Academy, Pacific Bridge Arts, and Gold House came together for the first-ever Gold Music Alliance reception — this intimate yet significant event marked the creation of the Recording Academy’s first API membership group: The Gold Music Alliance.
At the GRAMMY Nominee Reception, the Recording Academy announced the D.R.E.A.M (Diversity Reimagined by Engaging All MusicMakers) Network and featured a panel shining a spotlight on the Gold Music Alliance leaders. Held at the esteemed D.R.E.A.M. Lounge proudly sponsored by Pacific Bridge Arts, our co- founder, Recording Academy Governor Kev Nish led an insightful panel discussion on the transformative aims of the Gold Music Alliance.
Frankie Yaptinchay, a PBA mentor and Governor of the PNC at the Recording Academy, who also serves as an Amazon Senior Product Manager, joined Annie Lam, our executive director, in highlighting their efforts to support the D.R.E.A.M network and uplift the next generation of AANHPIs in music through collaborative work with the Academy.
