A partnership to expand PBA’s network to support Asian American artists.
PBA is partnering with Filipino music industry leaders to engage the Filipino community in support of Pacific Bridge Arts Foundation’s mission to support and celebrate Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders in arts and culture. The committee will assist PBA by conducting outreach within the Filipino community, increasing awareness of PBA’s programs, and mentoring aspiring artists who participate in PBA initiatives.
Virman Coquia
Far East Movement, Director of Brand Partnerships/ A&R Transparent Arts
Virman Coquia is best known as one member of the multi platinum selling group Far East Movement. Prior to Far East Movement, Virman was working as an On-Air DJ for Power 106 radio station in Los Angeles for almost 10 years.
Raised in Long Beach California, Virman’s love for music started when he was 13 years old watching his older brother, Dj E-Man spin at family parties. Once E-Man joined Power 106 in the early nineties, Virman realized this is the career path he wants to take.
Far East Movement’s company, Transparent Arts (TA), moved into artist management. TA manages artists of various genres, including Korean rock group The Rose and Filipino superstars James Reid and Liza Soberano.

Frankie Yaptinchay is a Sr. Project Manager for Audience Development & Creative Partnerships at Amazon Music. In this role Frankie leads strategic development for content and partner experiences focusing on the Asian and Asian American Pacific Islander market across: Music, Editorial, Podcasts, and Livestreams. Frankie is also a part of the Asians@Amazon Global Allyship board and a current Governor of the PNW Recording Academy /Grammy Chapter.
